Pincushion Cactus

Mammillaria

Generally just inches high, they are small, globular, and thickly covered with spines.
  • Consider placing them:
  •                near walkways,
  •                clustered under nearby native trees and shrubs
  •                potted in large, shallow bowls
  •                potted singly and placed on display tables or benches
  • Most flower prolifically, first in spring or early summer, and then once or twice later in the year.
  • Provide some shade during the summer and plant in well drained cactus mix.
